(Sorry for the long post; trying to be detailed)
I have posted about this before, fixed the problem, had it return and have since moved away to go to school (I hope that's clear). This weekend I am going home to bring the bike back with me and want to have a plan of attack so I can fix the problem most efficiently.
My plug used to foul in cold weather and I posted about this a while ago. Someone suggested running the bike with the petcock set to "prime" and that seemed to have fixed the problem.
Then one day this summer, it seemed like the choke was stuck on, and it has not run right since (on prime, or otherwise). I poked around a bit, but made no real progress (lack of time).
I intend to do the following:
1. Check to see if the petcock plugged up or otherwise restricting fuel flow.
2. Disassemble and clean the carburetor.
3. Install an inline fuel filter on the fuel line.
Because similar symptoms in the past were caused by bad fuel flow, I intend to start there.
Anyone else have any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Joe
